Where in northrend can you fly

Not as much as they would want you too and it also adds playtime. Same will happen to expansion No3 if we get one I guess Comment by As of the latest build you do not get this for free. You need to spend g now to get the training.

Comment by I personally prefer g over an amount higher then 5k gold, so I'm not going to complain. Comment by crimsonhead I personally prefer g over an amount higher then 5k gold, so I'm not going to complain. Comment by nextplz So i still got to pay the g to learn Artisan Riding epic flying mount?

After that g to fly around in northrend. Allmost 6k gold total for us that still have Expert Riding. I thought they were giving the casual gamer the chance to experience things that ppl with wow as their life could only see. Now i don't see the reason to this.. Incoming minus rating to me for whineing! Comment by ricky Based on the fact that both epic riding and cold weather flying being skill , I would not think that you would need epic flying to obtain cold weather flying.

Comment by sdkphoenix Blizz blue confirms that this is now purchased Cold Weather Flying questline removed in final version Making it purchasable makes it easier for players to get. I understand you have 3 alts to feed and as each of them levels up they will get the gold to purchase it. We haven't given an exact total number of new daily quests that will be available in the expansion, but there will be more of them to do and along with all the new quests I don't think reaching this number will be an issue.

Comment by Hellreject I don't really mind having to wait until 77 to get access to my flying mount again. To be honest, I like that part of it, since you get to explore Northrend properly instead of just flying wherever you need to go and maybe skip important areas alltogether. What annoyed me a little though, was that I enjoyed the idea of a questline unlocking your flying ability in Northrend.

Now instead we're forced to pay another thousand gold on top of the eight hundred gold or insanely high five thousand granted you bought the epic version like I did we paid to get the mount in the first place.

Wish they could've found another way of doing it instead of making us dish out even more gold. Comment by I sort of understand why we are being forced to use land mounts. I understand restricting us until level I know people say you get 2k by 77, but id rather use my hard earned cash on stuff I want, not paying for a blizzard gimmick. FOLLOW UP - i spent my g on my epic flyer and i'm now lvl 76 and have g, would have much more but i've been spending and lending like crazy, this gold is very easy to come by If your really concerned about having the gold required to pay for the ability to fly.

Honestly i wish blizzard made this ability for 80, instead of 77 that way you get your last bit of torment of being grounded in the highest level zones.

Comment by I only just recently got my epic flying skill and yes I worked hard to get it doing all dailies i could do. I also realised that I had some quests I had skipped while leveling to 70 so i went back and did them as well and yes you can earn just as much from an old quest you forgot about as from one daily so please stop QQing and get off your lazy backside and just do it already.

Comment by g just to be able to fly in Northrend? Good plans Blizzard! Personally, I am awful at saving gold in WoW. How I ever got my normal riding skill I will never know. I gave up trying for my epic mount long ago, because really, its just not going to happen. So coming into WotLK, one could only presume that there was going to be an addition to the mount system. Every mount price has been at escalating amounts: 35g, g, g, 5kg.

I was thinking, "crap, so I won't be able to fly around on whatever Northrend mounts there are unless I pay over 5kg? Looks like I better get used to ground travel.

And you don't even need the epic flying skill to get it! So why are you complaining about this 1kg that you will need to shell out for the privilege to fly in cold weather? For one, Blizzard could have made this much, much worse.

Secondly, this way people who have been 70 for a while and those just leveling into Northrend will very literally be playing on the same field. I actually want to run on the roads to do my quests; somebody at Blizz worked very hard to design all the graphics up there. Comment by Personally I dont see the big problem in it.

I my self have been in lvl 70 a long time and been able to collect tons of gold, and used it on what ever i wanted but when i heard that The mounts in Northerend Would be expensive I just grabbed my bags and began Farming. Comment by I've only been lvl 70 for 6 days 11 hours and I was dirt poor throughout my entire leveling process. I even borrowed gold for my epic ground mount. This is why I'm so confused I got my Epic Flyer a few days ago.

If you complain about something costing too much or something that should be free you're just being lazy. There are infinite ways to make gold in the game. Dailies, gathering professions, selling runs, selling drops Comment by Well, something you must realize is that even if they don't mention this explicitly Blizzard is making every effort to stymie i. This may sound like a bad idea at first, as it would give the appearance of "hurting the little guy" who doesn't have as much gold as the dedicated player.

However, I tend to disagree with this notion; you must consider that more gold floating around tends to increase the price of user-goods, as the tolerance of price increases proportionally.

Ergo Every little bit of gold taken out of the economy right now, stops the price of user-sold goods from booming uncontrollably. Although the fruits of this tactic may not manifest themselves immediately or at all for that matter , in the long run, it allows for a gradual shift in the price of goods.

Comment by Eskinda Making it a permit of some sort would have made a lot more sense than some sort of training. It would actually explain everything instead of just throwing the "coldness" aspect of WotLK into everything. It enables players the ability to use their flying mounts in Northrend. Players have to be level 77 or higher to train this ability. Comment by It's no problem that they restricted flying until 77, but the fact that we have to pay more gold just to fly in Northrend is a rip off.

Either you have the gold barrier or the level one, pick one blizzard, GDI. So whats next: "Low gravity riding" is required for Outland in patch 3. It can be purchased in level 67 for g in Shattarath. This is needed if you want to ride your epic land mount in outland. Comment by Rickaluss I am so totally confused. Somebody please help me clarify this: I am level 71 atm with, of course, Journeyman riding skill so I can ride my epic land mount around.

I will soon though. So let's just say I have Expert Flying now. When I hit level 77, will Cold Weather Flying just allow me to use my flying mount in Northrend or does it completely replace the g cost of Artisan Flying Skill? Don't rate me down. Just a simple misunderstanding is all. Comment by Do you need level 77 to buy this or is it just the level of the spell? Comment by Note that even with this ability you still cannot fly in or over Dalaran.

If you try, you'll hear the Fel Reaver screech sound and slow fall off your mount. Try to summon your flying mount in Dalaran and you'll get the message "You can't use that here. Why Blizzard chose to disallow flying in Dalaran is beyond me, since the city looks awesome from the air!

Comment by SockPuppet Amazing. Some folks are acting as if this is a Terrible Outrage. I rather regret the removal of the quest chain but not if it involved group quests; that would be annoying , but seriously. It's 1K gold. The 5K for epic flying was onerous. This is not. It's chump change. Comment by I'm not sure what the big deal is Between questing and the AH it shouldnt take more then 3 or 4 days to come up with the money for this.

Im a 72 and I generally make between a day between the two. Comment by huldu It is an outrage! Spent 6k gold on a flying mount that is useless in northrend until you hit level Comment by g just cuz my stupid wind rider cant suck up to a little cold?

The reason people think this is because in Beta, there was a quest Hope This Was helpful! Comment by Maxtro It is a little stupid that you need to buy this skill in order to fly in Northrend.

And that's not even including the mount. With an epic faction mount that brings the total up to 7, That is a lot of money for a new character to get by Of course the epic flier is optional but normal flying can't compare to epic. Post away! Then it was knocked down to That lasted about six months or so. Then they knocked it down to Being able to fly right away in Outland now really makes the continent lose its wonder. I missed the 30 level. Probably was in between leveling then. I remember the 40 and then drop to It was nice to be able to get your first mount half way through Vanilla leveling, then getting your epic at 60, then flying at
