Ah yes, 9gag, the beautiful app created to help pass the time. Whether you are bored at home, in a waiting room, or needing to pass the time for whatever other reason - 9gag is your companion. I've been a user for too many years to count somewhere between years and I have enjoyed the ease of the app, the dank memes, but most of all the community. Since the app has asked me to rate them and I've been putting it off for some time now, I figure why not.
These days the memes are more scarce than they once were and it seems like a lot of content gets through to the hot page that is questionable considering many of us have seen it for the millionth time. With enough time I'm sure I'll see it all but thankfully 9gag still is able to offer me some new things I haven't seen. Often I find myself cracking up at the comments more than the posts themselves but then again, I'm still entertained! And that is the point of the app.
I'm giving this four stars because the app could be better. Get past that and I think this app could come back to its former glory.
Until then I'll just keep trotting along and making my way to the comment sections to have a good laugh. The new update has literally made things hard for me not sarcasm :D I see the same post maybe 3 times in a scroll. I see posts with upvotes in hot. But when i click on the title to go in, its the one meant to be. When im scrolling the posts keep jumping up and down all of a sudden, changing positions. The new update almost had me crying. RC: All of our content is submitted by users. Sometimes they create their own content, which we encourage. Sometimes they find content from other websites. But we always give credit back to the original creator. We rely heavily on our community to up-vote and down-vote the content, and we also look at the engagement of the post. For example, if you get a lot of comments and a lot of shares, and then we pick it, it will rise to a more popular page, which we call trending.
We have a small team of eight humans who pick what to share with everyone on social media platforms. We also measure video views. We want to help them, too, because we feel like they are under-resourced. RC: For our website, the top countries are the U. Then France.
